What is a UFO LED high bay light?
The solution is already in question. A UFO LED high bay light is a disc-shaped LED luminaire system with a flat integrated aluminum housing and optics designed to improve light distribution over a given area without the need for cumbersome reflectors. LEDs are directional in nature and need optics, which are often reflectors for traditional LED high bay lights, to satisfy the light output patterns required for many applications. Conventional fixtures, on the other hand, often imitate classic metal-halide (MH) lights in luminaire form and are constructed with massive and heavy heat sinks. The whole fixture not only seems old and awkward, but it also does not fit in with the modern architectural design. Furthermore, due to the enormous number of thin aluminum reflectors, they must be packaged individually and transported with additional care, which increases the shipping cost. UFO LED high bay lights are smaller and more efficient than typical LED lighting. They have a nicer appearance, endure longer, and are simpler to move and install.
How high should high bay lights be?
The easiest approach to evaluate high bay vs. low bay lighting is to measure the ceiling height. Low bay fixtures are only suitable for ceilings between 12 and 20 feet high. High bay light fixtures can illuminate ceilings ranging in height from 20 to 45 feet.
What Is the Difference Between Low and High Bay Lights?
High Bay / Low Bay is a lighting phrase that refers to the kind of bay lights that are required for a certain ceiling height.
High Bay Lights are often used in big areas with a ceiling height higher than 20 feet. Low Bay Fixtures, on the other hand, are often employed in big rooms with a ceiling height of between 12 and 20 feet.
Bay lights that are 150W or more are sometimes referred to as High Bay lights since they have a beam angle of 90 degrees or less. Low Bay lights generally range in power from 60 to 100 watts and have a beam angle of 120 degrees.
