If it is a recently built solar street light, the duration of nighttime illumination is brief. For the purpose of shipping safety, the battery is often only 60 percent charged before leaving the plant. Normal operation of solar-powered streetlights often resumes two to three days following installation.
Please verify that the wiring is properly connected if the newly-installed solar-powered streetlights are not on all night.
If the solar street light has been functioning well, but the illumination duration has abruptly decreased over a few nights, it may be due to inadequate sunlight; as a consequence, the solar panel is unable to produce enough electricity for the street light to operate all night. After the weather improves, the solar street lamp's illuminating time will return to normal.
Check the indicator state of the solar controller and then call an MKLIGHTS sales engineer to further diagnose the particular issue based on the condition of the indicator.
After proper installation, our solar street lights are meant to be almost maintenance-free. However, in particular places with harsh circumstances, maintenance is essential to guarantee that the lights perform properly. In places where solar panels are susceptible to getting coated with dust, snow, and ice, the light output will be diminished.
Standard maintenance schedule:
Every Week: Ensure that all street lights are operating properly by inspecting them. If there are lights that are not on, please see the troubleshooting section or contact us.
Every two months, inspect and clean the dust- and sand-covered surfaces. The easiest approach to clean the panels is using a brush or damp cloth at the end of a long pole. not rinsing from the top down
Replace the solar street light batteries every 5-10 years.
The longevity of solar-powered streetlights is mostly determined by solar batteries. The longevity of a battery relies not only on its quality but also on its depth of discharge (DoD), which reflects the proportion of battery discharge relative to its rated capacity.
